People.com
Every day I go on People.com to catch up on my celebrity gossip. I thought it would be interesting to see the website in spanish. It is actually crazy to see, because the website has the same set-up, with the latest news, photos and other things, but the celebrities that the news is about are for the most part, people I have never heard of.
When it came to understanding the site, it was fairly easy because it is set-up the same as the American version. One thing I noticed is that the font size in Spanish is considerably smaller as well as the pictures.

So it seems that People targets it website to its audience. The Spanish website includes the celebrities that are of interest to Spanish speakers. I also noticed the smallness of the font. Perhaps this is in line with what the audience is used to. El Pais, a spanish language newspaper, also uses a smaller font. We both noticed it as small, but perhaps it is more common to the expected users.
I believe the reason for small font is only to give a clip of what article is about. Once you click a link or turn the page the words will be larger and easier to read. I like the layout of the page. Pictures create a visual image even though it might be in a different language we can still understand the tone of the article by the body language of the person in the photograph
